After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Richard spent most of his professional career in the human resources field with a relentless goal of helping people navigate and resolve workplace problems. During that time, Richard also worked as an investigator for the United States Postal Service, investigating claims of discrimination filed by postal service employees. When he wasn’t working, Richard enjoyed volunteering as a tutor at Guadalupe School in Salt Lake City, teaching English and citizenship skills to United States immigrants.
Richard brings a wealth of patience, understanding, and compassion to Hawkes Quam as the first point of contact to our valued clients.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys playing as bass guitarist and back-up vocalist in his classic rock group “Blind Owl Band,” visiting with his grandchildren, and taking his wife fishing.
